Springhill Suites by Marriott at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center: Our Disneyland Hotel Experience

🏨 Finding the Right Fit for Our Disneyland Trip
When planning this Disneyland trip, we had a slightly different challenge than we usually do—we were traveling with seven adults! With a group that size, finding a hotel that worked for everyone, fit within our budget, and was still close enough to walk to Disneyland was at the top of our list.
We knew we wanted to spend our days enjoying the parks rather than worrying about transportation, so being within walking distance was especially important to us. At the same time, we didn't want to spend our entire vacation budget on a hotel room. After looking at our options, we decided to give SpringHill Suites by Marriott at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center a try. We stayed for four nights in a one-bedroom suite, and I'm sharing our experience—from the room and location to breakfast, the pool, and the little things we loved (and a few things we think you should know) before booking your own Disneyland stay.
✨ Before We Check In...
Before I take you through our experience, here's a quick look at the hotel and the details that mattered most to us when making our decision. Think of this as your Pixie Dust & Park Hacks quick-reference guide before we dive into the full review!

All details reflect our personal stay and experience. Hotel amenities, pricing, and policies may change.

Now that you've got the basics, let's take a closer look at what our four-night stay was actually like—and whether this hotel lived up to what we were looking for in a Disneyland getaway. ✨
❤️ What We Loved
There were quite a few things we really enjoyed about our stay!
🎢 The Location
One of the biggest perks was how close the hotel was to the parks. It was an easy 10-minute walk to Disneyland, which made getting to the parks in the morning and heading back to the hotel after a long day incredibly convenient.
✨ The Lobby
The lobby felt updated, clean, and welcoming when we arrived. It made a great first impression and gave the hotel a fresh, modern feel.
🏊 The Rooftop Deck & Pool
One of my favorite features was the lovely rooftop deck and pool area. It was a great spot to relax and take a break from the parks, and the rooftop setting was an especially nice bonus.
🛏️ Clean Rooms

While the rooms weren't as spacious as we expected, they did feel clean and comfortable overall, which is always an important part of a hotel stay.
đź’• The Staff
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Friendly service can make such a difference, especially after a long day at Disneyland!
🤔 Things to Keep in Mind
Of course, no hotel is perfect, and there were a few things we noticed during our stay that I think are worth mentioning.
🛏️ The Rooms Felt Smaller Than Expected
The rooms looked a little more spacious in the online photos than they felt in person. That said, we had seven adults staying with us, so having that many people in one room definitely affected how spacious it felt. With fewer people—especially a typical family of four—the room may feel much more comfortable.
🥞 Breakfast Wasn't Our Favorite
One of the perks of our stay was that breakfast was included, which was definitely a yay! in our books. Unfortunately, the breakfast itself didn't quite live up to our expectations. We would have loved to see a little more variety, and we found much of the food to be fairly bland.
Interestingly, we had a family member with us who had stayed at this hotel multiple times before, and they also commented that the breakfast wasn't as good as they remembered from previous visits. So, it may be worth keeping in mind that the breakfast experience could have changed over time.

🛌 The Bunk Beds
The bunk beds weren't particularly comfortable for the adults who slept on them. However, this is where our unusual room situation comes into play—we had two adults over six feet tall using the bunk beds rather than children. I imagine they would be a very different experience for their intended audience.
🔌 A Few Outlets Didn't Work
We also discovered that some of the outlets in our room weren't working. It wasn't a major issue during our stay, but with multiple people traveling together and needing to charge phones and other devices, it's something worth mentioning.
✨ Would We Stay Again?
Yes!
Despite a few things that could have been better, this is a hotel we would happily consider staying at again—especially with a smaller group. The convenient location, friendly staff, clean rooms, and rooftop pool were all big positives for us. Our experience with seven adults in one room probably wasn't the most typical way to experience the hotel, so I'd be interested to see how it feels with fewer people.

Overall, we'd definitely give it another try on a future Disneyland trip with a smaller group of people and I think we'd be able to enjoy the room and hotel even more. If you're looking for a convenient, walkable option near Disneyland without making the hotel the biggest part of your vacation budget, this is one I'd keep on your list to consider.
Until our next check-in, may your bags be packed, your walking shoes be comfy, and your Disneyland days be filled with a little extra pixie dust!
